Monitor Audio Gold 300

I heard these at a local audio shop yesterday. Stunning in my opinion. The shop is theatre focused so the demo was with a crap receiver and blue ray player feeding digital to the receiver. Nonetheless the speakers sounded really good.
Anyone here these or the Gold 200 with proper stereo gear? What were your impressions?
I have a pair of GX300s, the immediate predecessor to the Gold 300s, the difference being slightly modified mid and bass drivers. According to a recent review they sound very similar although I have not heard the Gold 300s.
I know it is not very fashionable to mix Monitor Audio and Naim and in the past there has been a view the two don't go well together. I believe that has changed with the advent of the GX range (now called Gold). All I know is that I have used the GX 300s for the past three or four years and they have clearly revealed each and every upgrade I have made in my electronics from a lonely Uniti through to NDS/282/SupercapDR/250DR. Sounding wonderful right now listening to Diana Krall.
I have these. I like them, they are part of my 5.1 system.
Not compared them directly against any other speakers but I do like them
I have a NDX 202 napsc and NAP 200 with Monitor Audio RS 8 and although detailed they are too bassy in my living room although it depends what music is playing of course so in the new year I will sell them and upgrade to PMCs

The GX/Gold range were designed with the smaller UK living rooms in mind and have a well controlled bass. Although they are rear ported they can be used fairly close to a back wall. I use my GX300 in a fairly small listening room reasonably close to back and side walls with no overblown bass issues but I do have the bungs in the ports. Bass control is of course partly the function of a good power amplifier but I would have thought the NAP200 would offer the necessary control to the GX/Gold range, indeed I have used my GX300s with the same system as yours (NDX/202/200) with no bass issues. Clearly the same is not true with the RS 8s.
If you like MA speakers you might want consider a home demo with speakers from the GX/Gold range before you decide on the PMCs - although many on here have praised PMCs with Naim electronics. I only mention this because the larger PMCs also have a prostigeous bass with that transmission line bass loading they use so care will be needed with these also in smaller spaces.
