what input is the best to use for streamers? E.g. NDX into NAC 282.

Any of them - the ones that aren't tape loops may have a slight advantage but you may not hear it. CD seems to make most sense, unless you also have a CD player connected up to the pre-amp. In which car... AUX?

Thanks Richard. That's what I thought (and experienced meanwhile).
To me the HDD loop seems to sound slightly "stressed".
