Rumor of Apple Hi Res and Beatles

Posted by: mackb3 on 22 December 2015

According to mac news network site Apple is preparing to go hi res in 2016 and add Beatles catalog to Apple Music 12-24-15. Interesting if true.

There are preparations being made in the background for this. I would speculate that this, if true, would also require changes to MFi / AirPlay qualification as well.

Just posted on BBC News (www)

The Beatles' music is being made available on a wide range of streaming music services.
Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal and Amazon Prime Music are among nine services that will offer the band's tracks worldwide.

HiRes? 24/48 and above streamed remotely? That's good.

Now, what is it that Naim are announcing on the 6th January at the CES show? Active speaker(s)?

With Apple's past of not delivering what everybody speculated about highres on Itunes  since 2011, I would not waste many seconds on this rumor.

No date only  the usual rrumers. Not direct quote, something like Tidal will be the only service to have Beatles in cd quality.

Well, this morning at 8am, Claus, I was happily playing Revolver in CD quality from Tidal. Lovely! What a Xmas present.
