B&W Diamond D3

Hello all

quite excited just heard the B&W 802D3 today, sounded very good to me, too bad I can't afford them.

It gave me the impression of a very refined and musical sound, with breathtaking clarity, definitely worth the price tag. The new material replacing the Kevlar looks space-age from the future to me. The bass was huge

In terms of the improvement from the D2 series, I could not get the chance to hear the old ones and the new ones side by side, but the new ones are definitely better, more musical, smooth, and "lifelike"

I also listened to the 805D3, which sounded fantastic too.

I did hear them driven off my Chord Hugo with classe amps, I would need to hear them driven off my Naim Amps to come to a final conclusion. I just don't feel like taking my Naim kit to the B&W dealer by myself, I am waiting for friend to come back from holiday and help me with this.

The speakers were almost brand new, so the dealer and I both agreed that I would need to hear them again in a month or two, since they do need to run in quite a while.

As a British citizen I am very impressed with the quality of hi-fi coming out of the UK.

I have not heard the 802D3s but I know of two people who have and both of them are mighty impressed with what they heard. One of them in comparison to the 802Ds.

So I must remind myself in 2016 not to have a listen!

I could put something in my profile Dusty? Email maybe? For a short while. Or stick something time limited on my wall (whatever that is).
