Audirvana 2.3 with added Qobuz
Posted by: dayjay on 24 December 2015
A nice early Xmas present from Damien with the release of version 2.3 with Qobuz integration. Look forward to having a play with Qobuz over the break.
Am trying this now and am already lost in the music. However the integration seems very good with all my favourites and purchased items waiting for me. It's lovely to be able to pop up the booklet while listening.

I do buy from Qobuz but don't have a subscription so haven't tried the integration.
Has anyone noticed any differences in sound though? I updated yesterday morning, then after a couple of hours listening I felt that the hi-fi was sounding suspiciously good. Never thought anything of it and then this morning I remembered that I had installed the Audirvana update yesterday. It feels like more microdetails are being digged out and things sound a bit more airy and 3-D; basslines are lovely and defined; typical hi-fi charecterstics I suppose. I'd say it's quite subtle but the more I listen the more I think it's noticeable. Expectation bias maybe? I don't know, but it sounds really good.
I have noticed sound quality improvements previously with Audirvana despite it not being pointed out as being part of the update. Is this another pleasant freebie I wonder?
Thanks for the heads-up. Just updated now. I normally have my Mac Mini's WiFi switched off and therefore isolated from the home network and internet so don't get notifications unless I deliberately check for updates.
I like it, sounds smoother, in a good way and more tuneful and harmonious to me
I have Audirvana Plus Version 1.5.12 and checking for updates, it says I have the most current version.
What am I doing wrong? Living in the US?
Looks like I just upgrade to the new one for a discounted price. Don't know how I got so far out of sync.
Got it working. No Qobuz in the US. Sounds good on my iTunes and I am figuring out the A+ Remote.
Been using 2.3.1 and have reverted to 2.2.9.6 (beta) as this things sound 'just right' for me.
I'm sure that Damian will optimise 2.3 with further versions as the Xmas present seemed to be a bit rushed.
