.dsf

Hi all
My Superuniti is running the current firmware version and I understood that it should support .dsf files.
I've loaded a few .dsf files onto the NAS and checked the metadata is correct, but the Superuniti cannot see the files. Any ideas why this may be?
Thanks
It may be that your upnp server isn't able to deliver DSD files. I am not knowledgeable about those, but others here are and are going to ask you which server you are using.
You could check that those files work on your SU by putting a couple on a USB stick and plug it into the front panel socket on the SU.

Minimserver will do the trick at least on my Synology DS212+. Don't know which NAS you have? For QNAP I read that asset UPnP is ok, but don't have experience with that system.

Hi ADCLEM
As David said try the files on a USB Stick I am running Asset on a PC as the NAS Version is not working yet for DSF and Superuniti plays fine
Haven't tried Minimserver but would be useful to know your NAS
Good luck

Paul
Thanks all!
I tried the USB idea and it plays just fine.
My NAS is a Netgear ReadyNAS and I guess its not compatible with DSD. I must admit to being a bit clueless when it comes to servers. I'll look up minimserver; presume this is a different software or firmware for servers?
There is a minimserver for your ReadyNAS. Look up MInimserver in google and you will be guided to the correct website with downloads plus instructions :-)
Thanks Rikkieb although there isn't a minim server for the ReadyNAS 102 sadly. Do you know of other similar softwares that may have?
It seems that Logitech Media Sever can do the trick. You should be able to install this on your ReadyNAS 102 according to the ReadyNAS website. But I don't know if it will work with streaming to your naim gear. Maybe worth a try?

I run Minimserver on a tiny little headless computer, and have that connect to my NAS's over the network. Streams DSD files perfectly as well as transcoding FLAC to WAV at all definitions for PCM.

It might also be worthwhile looking at this thread which discussed ReadyNas and DSD.
