SBL mk2 cabinet finish question.

Hi forum.

What finish was available for MK2 SBL cabinets, as I am wondering if Maple was a option at the time or beech veneer. I realise black ash ,cherry and walnut finishes were available back then.

There was a light beech veneer but no maple. There was also rosewood, along with the finishes you mention.

IIRC it was Beech that was available on the SBLs - very nice it was too.

What is a suitable wax, or alternative to bring out the best on a light wood veneer finish, that needs some TLC to restore the cabinet's appearance?.
