UnitiQute 2 as source into SN2

can I connect a UQ2 to SN2 to use as source without connecting to a DAC first?

Yes, there is analogue stereo out via 2 x rca sockets, but this is after the preamp, so the volume control on the UQ2 will still function. The sn2 also has an av bypass option on the av input, so you could use that as the input from the uq2 therefore bypassing the sn2's own preamp and using the uq2 one when you use that as the source.

From the manual:
The Supernait 2 can be integrated within a multi-channel home theatre system, driving the front left and right channel speakers, by engaging its AV Bypass mode. AV Bypass mode enables a home theatre processor to take over volume control of signals connected to the Supernait 2 av input. It is engaged using the switch on the rear panel. The Supernait 2 volume control indicator will extinguish when AV Bypass mode is engaged and the av input is selected. The remote handset volume control will also be disabled.
Why would you want to connect a UnitiQute to a SuperNait?

UQ is a fine product, able to drive pretty much any speakers you plug into it. It has a distinctive voice to it, which gets a bit spoiled when an external amp is connected.

my advice is to keep UQ as a stand alone unit and simply enjoy the music

Yes, put a Hugo in the middle though and it really makes sense

Using UQ2 until I can get a NDX. Then UQ2 will go into another room.

Ok - fair enough.

NDX into SN2 is a marvelous combo.

Enjoy the sound of music

I can use the RCA stereo out into the SN2 and just use the streamer and DAC of the UQ2 and pe amp of the SN2? I would still have the av bypass of the SN2 so I can use this setup in my HT?

thanks for the help.
