One of the earlier albums of Trioscence, a great jazz trio...

It may have been a soundtrack to a TV series but the music is excellent and as good as anything they have released.

In the Wake of Poseidon - King Crimson

Their second album, a great era for classic KC releases.

Vey happily re-united with this one that arrived through the letter box this morning for ripping. Thanks again to Tony for the reminder when he "played it" here on the forum.

The other one from the same composer, some faint Vivaldi feeling, but more modern. From Bandcamp ...

Edward - as you are getting into country- you may want to give this one a listen (if you haven't already done so !).  Great album from last year.

Been running the iPod in the car on random track selection lately - a great way of rediscovering albums in the collection that have not been played for ages.  These ones came up today and have been sounding pretty damn good this evening through the SU.

Having a bit of a Dire Straits evening, including this lovely album. I continue to be grateful for ewemon's tip about the right Japanese CD to buy. The reproduction quality is superb.

That is a great album. He has a very soulful voice for country. Check out the YouTube video with him and Justin Timberlake from the CMAs. It's a great performance. Also check out Sturgill Simpson and Whitey Morgan. The new Simpson record is just great. Whether you like country music or not.  I'll post those 2 later if you want to check them out. It's more outlaw style than Vince Gill.

Would agree with the above Edward the Chris Stapleton album is superb. One of my albums of last year. You could also listen to the first couple of Steeldriver albums as Chris sings on those as well.

Another recommendation for you would be the first Chris Knight album and if you like that one listen to the rest of his albums as he hasn't made a bad album.
