Fleetwood Mac, Tango in the Night.  Unlike everyone else on here I prefer the later Mac albums and this is my second fave and a great come back album.  Very good SQ too.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Fleetwood Mac, Fleetwood Mac, a bit of blues to end the night.  Simple and elegant, Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Not everyone else, dayjay, I prefer the latter albums, but the earlier more bluesy albums are good too.

Flood was recorded live in Japan in 1975. A brilliant mix of acoustic and electric performances of some of Hancock's most memorable compositions. I am listening to the recent, and very well done Speakers Corner vinyl reissue.

Official recording, to say he set the house on fire this night would not be an exaggeration. Brilliant gig.

Where do you find these recordings? Luck or you just know where to look? Point me in the right direction?

Pink Floyd. The Endless River. On CD from 2014. I was in Safeway (mega grocery store) today and a track from The Endless River came on over the Muzak system. Baffled me because all that typically comes out of the speakers there is grating auto-tuned pop vocal music that hurries me on my way. Gilmour's leads were unmistakable, but I realized that not only could I not identify the track being played, I can't name a single track from this album.

The Four Tops Greatest Hits. Stereo LP on the Motown label from 1967. First listen. The music is all good, but SQ varies greatly among tracks. I'm not sure if this is due to the original recording or lack of dedicated mastering for the compilation. Wonder if I should look for the mono LP?

It is a number of things, knowledge of what is out there on the net, ex colleagues from my time in the biz, relations who work as session musicians, other relations who are in touring bands, contacts, old friends etc, etc, etc.

Steely Dan. Katy Lied. On original vinyl from 1975. Not the band's best in my mind, but I feel fortunate to have a first press of this as the SQ trumps the occasional snaps and pops my RCM can't eliminate.

Lovely ambient electronic and ambient guitar, slightly experimental as ever from Cousin Silas.

I think i prefer this to the studio albums as the band sound like they are having a lot of fun and this comes across in the slightly looser arrangements which really suit the musical style.

A super recording too.

Hauntingly  sparse, melodic and quietley enjoyable.

The Klavins M370 piano situated in Germany, Tübingen, 1.8 tons in weight, 3.7 meters high, its longest strings are about 10 feet in length. And it was on this piano that Nils recorded eight improvised piano motifs in one sitting, which form his new album Solo.

'The 8 pieces featured on this album were selected out of hours of improvising, happy hours as I recollect. The joy of playing and listening to the sound of the instrument made me play slower and slower, softer and softer, as almost every new note was destroying the immense beauty and sustain of the previous note. I was preparing the instrument with parts of my felt collection, carefully tuning mic positions with the help of my dear friend and recording gear wizard Matthias Hahn and simply playing whatever came to my mind. In conversations about this I am still struggling for words in order to praise David s instrument. Words simply don t do it justice, so listen for yourself'. - Nils Frahm

Colour Of Spring was my favourite Talk Talk album but once i 'got' this it rapidly took over as the most played album in my collection.

I can't really explain why i like this so much but it's just such an interesting soundscape that it's always a compelling listen every time.

Oasis, (What's the story)Morning Glory? One of those albums I play rarely but one that takes me back vividly to a difficult but exciting time in my life.  There was a time when you couldn't ask into a pub in Liverpool or Manchester and not hear a track off this album playing.  I was lucky enough to see them live with my son on the last day of their tour at Man City's ground which was something to experience.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
