(1978)
The first and arguably still his best solo album with echoes of Pink Floyd all around.

Totally agree. Definitely his best.
From my NAS AIFF CD rip, an album od classic rock covers and a few of his own compositions :-
Big Jim Sullivan - Mr Rock Guitar, for those who don't know him, his work is all around he appears on something like 2,000 track/albums. He was a very classy studio musician. We have met him several times as he used to play in a couple of local small venues with pick up bands and some more formal groups. He passed away in October 2012.
Bit of heavy...

Streaming what would be Disc two of this very well remastered classic. Steven Wilson remixed disc 2 in 2012 which had been previously unreleased. Lovely.
Original 1974 vinyl.
Scarlatti sonatas bounce and thrive under Queffélec's hands. This recording refused to come alive on the B&Ws (or on the little Sony walkman), but radiates from the Martens.

Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Steven Wilson remix. Never sounded better.

That's the one I bought when it came out - UK vinyl and it sounds incredible (maybe it's mono).

I love that album, even though it didn't have that Bloomfield guitar of East-West.

Then Play On ~ Fleetwood Mac (1969)
My favourite 'Mac album and one that I frequently return to. Loved it from the first day of release and still remember being blown away when it went on my turntable in '69, I don't think it was taken off for a couple of weeks.
Coldplay "X&Y"
Pink Floyd - Animals
Gets a lot of play round here.
I got this for Christmas (CD) and am enjoying it so far. However, I think it's compressed, as when the music gets louder, the sound hardens up. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has a view on this.

Vinyl is apprently better as the cd was when I heard the pre release badly compressed. Had to give it away as my eardrums were bleeding. Typical modern mastering.
Fink "Distance And Time"

Glad you are enjoying her.
Sanata brought me this for Christmas, it's very charming and the simplicity of her singing suits the choice of music very well. We had to import and it is a little pricey but worth it.
Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
Such a great album
