It's been quite a while since Avalon has been played here.

Such a good album from TYA and much underrated. Less hard rock and more acoustic is perhaps what put their fans off? I think it's up there with all their better loved albums.
Just the thing to relax to after dinner, very well played, laid back Jazz. A super album

Unfortunately I had to pay import duty on this which it made it expensive. However it contains some great playing from 1974 and the SQ seems particularly good.

Followed by...

Both on 45rpm vinyl...
Handel Water Music, played by the English Concert and Trevor Pinnock.
This HIP style recording ages rather well. straight forward and rather wonderfully done in my view.
And still available in DG’s Archiv series.
ATB from George

Willis Earl Beal - Nobody knows
Fryars - Power.
Was introduced to this over the weekend at the Naim demo

Pink Floyd. The Endless River. On CD from 2014. I was in Safeway (mega grocery store) today and a track from The Endless River came on over the Muzak system. Baffled me because all that typically comes out of the speakers there is grating auto-tuned pop vocal music that hurries me on my way. Gilmour's leads were unmistakable, but I realized that not only could I not identify the track being played, I can't name a single track from this album.
I played this again yesterday. I'm sorry to say it's still leaving me underwhelmed and, like you joerand, I couldn't name any of the songs on it and probably never will.

I would describe as...Eclectic. But interesting and very involving. I've listened to it 3 times over the last 24 hours, so has some kind of hold.

Feat my all time fav drummer. Less is more.

I'm late to the party but very happy I'm here now. Loving this version of Fleetwood Mac I never knew existed until a couple of weeks ago.

Beastie Boys-Paul's Boutique One of their best.

Giving this a listen and read a bit about it. Very cool. Now I'll have to listen to Abbey Road after this and compare.

Classic Records vinyl pressing. First time in years I have grabbed it off the shelf. Not bad.

The Black Crowes. The Lost Crowes. On 2CD from 2006. I'm a newcomer to the Crowes music and have been journeying through five of their CDs recently. This is easily my favorite. Seems the most genuine and less commercially contoured. I'm hearing the obvious influences from southern fried-bands like Skynyrd and The Allman Bros, but also CCR, LZ, and early Rod Stewart. Rich Robinson is excellent on guitar.

A collection of their early singles between '95 and '97, probably one of their best albums, very smooth and very laid back, excellent stuff.
