A great singer - diction, musicality, it's all there - plus a feeling of unlimited resources on tap. All volumes of this series are recommended, but the songs here are amongst Schubert's best.

Yes I prefer him over all the others including Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau

Something to snap me out of the rather dark Johnny Cash album I've just played and this should do it...

Steve Earle "El Corazon"

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss "Raising Sand"

Brand new release of Schubert's swan songs by bass-baritone James Rutherford - who with this disc is joining the ranks of Wagner singers taking their art to the art song, including amongst others Hans Hotter and Robert Holl. 24/96 on thumb drive.
Cheers

I haven't played this for a while, and it's miles better than I remember.

MARK KNOPFLER Greatest Hits
Arrived this morning from famous online retailer (ordered from UK site, order came from N.Y. delivered in ten days).
Excellent double CD album, great collection of Mark's hits. Two cd's are not enough to cover marks best tunes.

I've been doing some digging on this one and it's provenance is somewhat murky. I can only conclude that it is probably not a legitimate Mark Knopfler release.

White Stripes-Elephant

Jackson Browne. The Pretender. On vinyl from 1976. Another terrific sounding album from vinyl's heyday.

Tom Petty. You're Gonna Get It! On original vinyl from 1978. More analog goodness.

Neil Young. After The Gold Rush. On original vinyl from 1970. Sound City's first big production.

Johnny Cash. Out Among The Stars. On vinyl from 2013. Don't listen to much country, but this is one damn good album!
