2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Listened to this this afternoon on my mobile setup, very enjoyable music to work with...

A new artist for me - via Tidal

Riverside, Rapid Eye Movement via Tidal.
in memory of Piotr as it would have been his Birthday today.

Qobuz Hi-Res download.

CD... Haven't listened to this in a while. Excellent to just lie back and chill out.

Calamus: The Splendour of Al-Andalus
Arab-Andalusian music of the 12th to the 15th centuries. Highly recommended.

Kid Rock. Devil Without A Cause. On CD from 1998. White rapping with an emphasis on metal, manhood, and crudity. Despite that, this album is quite good and surprisingly musical.

Jimi Hendrix. Live At Monterey. On CD from 2007. Jimi comes out fast, hot, and furious. A wonder poor Mitch Mitchell could keep up on drums.

Stevie Ray Vaughan. The Sky Is Crying. On CD from 1991. If Stevie's Texas-driven blues on this album don't move you, you likely ain't got no soul. Had me on the floor crawling on my back ![]()
I play this quite often, very delicate and nice...

Yes he did and he won also multiple other prices. While I myself am not always guided by the prize winning aspect. This album is great.
Always nice

I was playing this in the car yesterday & now at home marvelling at the raw power of the drums on "When the Levee breaks" ![]()
Not played this in while - this track is little like Stevie Wonder on steroids ! CD rip.
