2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Gary,
Great to hear from you. Looking forward to you schooling me on The Dead at the next meet up. Hopefully sooner than later. Feel free to shoot me an email. I'd also be interested to hear how your system is coming along. Cheers!
Will do. I was thinking of letting you know about my system as well. Send you a message soon.

Stevie Ray Vaughan. Soul To Soul (1985). On remastered CD with bonus tracks from 1999. First listen. A strong, hard driving album. It's soulful and bluesy, has some brass (literally), but not with the 'down in the dirt' feel of "The Sky Is Crying" album. A keeper nonetheless.

Cream - Disraeli Gears
Sven Libaek - Innerspace, the lost film music of Sven Libaek.
Sunday afternoon music

Scorpions - Lovedrive
Classic rock album that always hits the spot.

Wishbone Ash - Argus
This is their best album to me. While the suns out playing some feel good classic rock from years gone by.

Recorded in 1987, Garfinkle on a Bosendorfer Grand Piano and Shigeo Sugiyama on bass created a musical as well as an audio experience. Highly recommended.

Pat Metheny - Unity Band. Haven't played this much - getting re-acquainted. CD rip

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A#∞ (1998)
On CD. Dark and scary music in contrast to a beautiful spring day.
Nothing scary about this - perhaps a little too bland ? CD rip

(1993)
Lot's to like on this album, mainly in alternative rock and grunge style.

Bland is a good description. Something more lush and enticing:

UFO - Essential CD
On CD:-

Yello - 1980-1995: The New Mix In One Go

The 'black & white' albums are the best and this one tops all three for me. 'Astronomy' loud is great!

Cairo Gang - Corner Man on vinyl...

Deep Purple - In Rock

Barclay James Harvest - Everyone Is Everybody Else
