What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

(2010)
Superb hard hitting rock fronted by Carly Hennessy's great voice. This has been in my various playlists for years and I've never tired of it.
John Taylor - what a genius.

Ladies & Gentlemen .. how do you post screen shots from your iPhones etc ?
Upload to photobucket and copy the direct link. Press the little mountain in the reply box and you can post it in.
Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin 2, pretty much a perfect rock album and the bearer of Whole Lotta Love, which is possibly my fave rock song ever. Played following a discussion with friends on facebook on best album by Marillion, Yes and Led Zep. This was my Led Zep choice. 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
Jazz Jamaica - Motorcity Roots.

An oldie but goldie, real rockin' blues
Beautifully recorded, understated album. Mesmerising stuff, with DEEP bass.

Marillion, Script From a Jesters Tear, another of the face albums discussed tonight although it could easily have been Misplaced Childhood or Clutching At Straws. Always found this group easy and enjoyable to listen to whatever the album. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Thanks to the person who posted this album first. A lovely disc.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Zuma (1975). On vinyl from the 2014 box set. Been a while since I played this. May have to give the whole set a spin this evening.

Neil Young. On The Beach (1974). Continuing with the 2014 box set. This one my favorite of the four LPs.

Neil Young. Tonight's The Night (1975). Third album of the set. Notable for Nils Lofgren's keyboard and guitar contributions and Danny Whitten's vocals on "Come On Baby Let's Go Downtown".

Those familiar with the set saw this coming.

What's the verdict?
Blues ain't my thing as a rule ( although I have recently got to liking Gary Clark Jnr Live via Tidal). This one sounds pretty good although I prefer the slower, less "showy" tracks. I'll definitely be playing it again. I'm sure there are many knowledgable blues fans on here who can give a much more qualified verdict. Cheers Nick
To me it's more bluesy rock than straight blues. Two worthwhile cuts (Drive, Livin' Easy). The rest I can live without.
For me it isn't one of his better albums
I'll be picking it up anyway. We've become "completists" for this guy.

Display what you want to snap on your iPhone screen.
Simply press and hold the “Sleep/Wake” button and then press the “Home” button. ...
Once a screenshot is captured, it will be automatically saved to your iPhone Camera Roll.
His new Scarlatti ...

Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Year Of The Horse. On 2 HDCDs from 1997. Accomplished live Crazy Horse performances akin to "Live Rust" plus 20 years. Great stuff!

Janis Joplin. Super Hits. On CD from 2000. Janis is probably best heard on vinyl, but goodness, there's no denying her soulful, emotional vocal delivery in any format.

Also found this one on Tidal - sounding good.

Started at work with this one - a great enjoyment

Christian can't be anymore indicated as a talent as he is already longer around in the music world. But he still brings refreshing and stretching music. I would regard him right now as the modern Miles Davis....The album below is Called Anthem...

Original vinyl..
