2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

Natalie Imbruglia, Male, one of my fave female artists and a pleasure to listen to as always. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

CD... I do hope Naim fix my streamer really soon as I got so used to streaming my ripped CDs and dealing with it physically is proving a pain in the #ss.
C'mon Phil, get me out of my misery!![]()
Van's throwaways, how many hundreds of albums do I have with nothing like quality than is on this?

Sometimes Van leaves me speechless.

Fantastic album, fantastic music

Cake. Pressure Chief. On CD from 2004. The band has a signature tight and punctual sound. Lyrics often sardonic, the music is always fun and delivered with plenty of PRaT. I find "Prolonging The Magic" and "Comfort Eagle" adequate albums for a Cake catalog, still I keep this for an occasional spin.
Giving this a second try.

Paul Simon. You're The One. On HDCD from 2000. A wonderful album, ultimately Simon-esque, and to me harkens back to his solo debut with some rhythmic infusions of "Graceland" and "Rhythm Of The Saints" adapted along the way.

Enjoying this and an artist to watch.
Due out April.
Reminds me of someone else though and the name is on the tip of my tongue.

Pink Floyd. Animals (1977). On EMI/Capitol remastered CD from 1992. Always love "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" for its cowbell.

Giving this a first try, described as being symphonic prog. Proud Peasant is Mike Oldfield circa Ommadawn meets Yes. For good measure they're throwing in traces of Genesis and, Camel.
