Probably my favourite EJ album, sounding very good ripped from this SHMCD.
Nice ambient music for the background or when you are reading, relaxing from Bandcamp...

Now switched to some relaxin jazz fusion music also from Bandcamp...

Modern jazz from Bandcamp 1st run, so far good impression...

First duet from Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle, full Colvin & Earle album due out in June, should be good if this is anything to go buy.
If you have all the solo piano recordings from Keith Jarrett - you should also have a listen to this one. Music can be found on Bandcamp...

A rather under-rated DS album in my view. I should play it more often.

This one is good. Will be picking up this one.
I have now listened to all 30 tracks of this, all 2 hours and 33mins of it and my attention and enjoyment of this incredible piece of work never wavered once.
This is one of my best finds (thanks SJB) for a long, long time. Brilliant stuff.

CD rip.
Blues and Gospel from the master of cool understated guitar playing.
Find myself coming back to this album again and again.............highly recommended.

I was looking for something new to listen to after work - like this a lot. Great stripped down production courtesy of Jeff Tweedie. Very nice recommendation! Thanks.
Tidal.

Just watched a programme about Irish Treasures one of which was the Dun Cow written in ancient Irish by Catholic monks. It contains the story of what is know as The Tain:-

Horslips - The Tain.
NB: Deleted and re-posted to correct spelling mistake.

The Cars. Door To Door. A DMM with promo label on audiophile vinyl from 1987. Mastered by George Marino, the SQ and soundstage on this album is impressive. Musically, I could easily call this the band's weakest album, except I've never heard "Move Like This" from 2011.

Janis Joplin. On original vinyl from 1971. A true classic.

Bartok Violin Concerto No.2: Chung/Rattle/CBSO 1995 Recording
Chung infuses passion and mystery into this abstract score. Expression and dynamics create hot blooded human feelings. Rattle's orchestration is a bit too genteel for my taste losing a bit of earthiness.

Bartok Violin Concerto No.2: Shaham/Boulez/CSO 1998 Recording
Boulez’s direction has less sinister more dreamy surealistic feel to it. Shaham’s violin is somewhat academic and straight he’s rarely going out side of a safety zone but it’s clear and articulate without much sentimentality. It will be interesting to hear him play the same score tomorrow with the CSO. One thing for sure, I love Boulez's handling of the orchestra.

Jimi Hendrix. South Saturn Delta. On CD from 1997. Yowza! Fifteen tracks of absolute ass-kicking, soulful blues-rock. So good I had to listen to it twice. Used CDs go for a pittance online - something even a novice Jimi fan ought to grab and enjoy.

This . . . . on vinyl, which was bought yesterday from Sainsburys!
