Spyro Gyra "Morning Dance"
The 1st track "Morning Dance" is one of my favorites and I always use it everytime I change the configuration of my system.

Gene Harris Quartet "Black and Blue" - was fortunate to see this group around the time of this release in 1991. Tasty.
Johannes Brahms: Jonathan Plowright (piano)
Variations on a Hungarian Melody, Op. 21, No. 2
Piano Pieces, Op. 76
Waltzes, Op. 39
Piano Pieces, Op. 118

A brilliant singer, not appreciated enough.

Herbie Hancock "The Piano"

A pleasant relaxing album...

Staying with Ahmad, always a certain level of quality and swing...

OK, I know I have been banging on a bit about this one on here. I am actually playing this album sparingly as I don't want to bore of it (fat chance). So I thought I would just play a few tracks from it this evening. As I would get to the end of yet another track (there are 30 on this), I kept telling myself this will be the last and I will put something else on. Trouble is the next track would strike up and I would become enthralled again! Am on track 18 straight through and feet are still tapping and head is still nodding with a stupid grin on my face.
Can't remember when I enjoyed an album so much. I am still listening to this as I write and I am finding the writing a bit distracting so will sign off now.

Ha! This one is up next here at Chez Joe. Ahmad Jamal is one of my favorites -- have you heard At the Pershing: But Not for Me? Heartily recommended.
Up now:

Some gentle late evening listening. Very nice until you listen to the lyrics which can be somewhat intense and raw in places. If you take the time to read a bit about this gentleman you will understand much more of what he sings about - an iron fist in a velvet glove in parts.
Facinating stuff.
