A nice closure to my listening evening..

On Double White Vinyl
INXS, Kick, the wife and I have been having a bit of an 80s rock evening so this seemed appropriate. I have an overpowering temptation to watch The Lost Boys now though. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
Kosheen, Kokopelli, some moody haunting music on this, almost trance like rather than their usual drum and bass stuff. Very enjoyable and a good system work out. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

It is, indeed. Must give it a play soon.
"Supper's Ready" has long been one of my favorite songs - a real prog masterpiece. I think I was 16 when this album came out. It was my first exposure to Genesis, and it totally blew me away!

One of the greatest albums in recent memory. One for the ages.
Agreed! Also really looking forward to the new Radiohead album coming out later this year.
Another terrific album by Hiromi's high octane piano-led jazz trio.

Hard to believe it's been 14 years since Layne's passing.
For no special reason, I've done some listening trilogies the last couple of nights. This evening it's Steely Dan. All three LPs original pressings with the vaunted Steely Dan SQ. Pretzel Logic is my favorite of the three.

The Who. Who Are You. On original vinyl from 1978. After a break for a fantastic college hoops final.

Lovely sounding ambient downtempo electronica.

Heard this yesterday, I am not into her, but this is a great album...

The Who. Who's Next (1971). On late-70's MCA vinyl. Easily their best album and a cleverly irreverent cover shot.

Hook thanks so much for posting - that's an amazing new album from her trio - just started playing it in the store.
Too bad for us she's doing only East Coast dates in her current tour, hopefully she'll be here later in the year.

My pleasure! Mrs. Hook and I were planning on flying to Chicago and driving up for next Saturday's show in Evanston, but unfortunately, I now have to fly to Denver early Sunday morning for business. ![]()
I like all of Hiromi's ten albums, but this and "Move" are probably my favorites. Still, even they both pale in comparison to her live performances. Oh well, as you say, maybe next tour!

Lovely stuff. Great guitar and violin playing, and it really does swing!
Relaxing album, great contemporary jazz...

Good rock / alternate rock from this Canadian band.
