What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

This is a lovely album, beautifully sung and played, and just right for a quiet morning.

Queen, Greatest Hits, the soundtrack of my youth, because it reminds me of school discos and simpler times, and it's nice to listen to with my twelve year old son during his school holidays. Surprising how many tracks he knows the words to too. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Golden Earring "Moontan"

Manfred Mann's Earth Band "Somewhere In Afrika"
Led Zep IV, because I've just heard The Battle of Evermore in the car and felt the need to get the Led out. 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo. Does rock a bit this album does!

Natalie Merchant - Live

Joe Zawinul "The Essential ......." disc 1

Not one I play that often but it is very enjoyable

Having pre-ordered Goat's new album (I Sing in Silence) being released on 27th May I am trying out this one track taster. If the rest of the album is as good then they have another winner.

Shawn Colvin "Uncovered"

Third listen. Seems much more laid back than other Shakti material in my collection. Still very enjoyable.
I like this.

Stevee reminded me I hadn't Frapped in a while, so here's their debut on UK first press vinyl:

Our Days Mind The Thyme by The Dolly Rocker Movement
(2009)
My first listen to this one (recommended by Gary Shaw) and it sounds just the way an album with a cover like that should do, 60's/70's West Coast USA psychedelic. *Edit Liking it a lot.

One has to Frapp every now and then, this (her first) is my favourite together with her latest Tales of Us.

RIP Merle

Gov't Mule "Dose"
More Frappage - again on first press vinyl.

Still enjoying more form the great Mahavishnu John McLaughlin:
