What are your impressions ?

Very much like the other releases - not as exciting as the "live" in concert recordings but it is good. Need to play it a few more times

Thanks in the process of downloading. Saw them life recently which was a great concert.

Just added this to my Cd collection. I had a tape cassette of this, must be 25 years ago! I had forgotten how good it is, still sounds fresh.

Elton John. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. On original MCA vinyl from 1973. The art on the trifold album jacket is as enjoyable as the music.

Just watched the "Classic Album" programme on this album, very interesting. It always amazes me that great albums like this were written and recorded so quickly with by todays standards simple and basic equipment.

Catching up with some on Todal that  I missed at the time, currently Hole - live like this. There was too much hype at the time for me but this is very strong stuff.

Actually surprised how many tracks I recognise.

Wow !  What a fantastic album.  Bluesy/Americana/Country blend.  Great songs, guitars, vocals, Hammond organ & nicely balanced production.  Super recommendation Ewemon !  (Tidal)

Glad you like it. I have some official live stuff from them as well as demos and they are every bit as good as the album.

This is very good! May end up buying this one.

The Beatles. Let It Be... Naked. On CD from 2003. Simple and honest, with un-Spectorized clarity.

Mary-Chapin Carpenter. Come On Come On. On CD from 1992. (I think there may be a misplaced hyphen on this album cover.)

I have always seen her name hyphenated that way on anything that appeared to be "official", or so I thought.  Having said that, a quick Google and Amazon search shows results of no hyphens anywhere.  Found this as a possible explanation:

The hyphen was there to alert the press and the public that her first name was indeed "Mary Chapin" and her last name wasn't "Chapin Carpenter," with or without a hyphen. Like all well-intentioned attempts at clarification, the success rate was outside the margin of error, and the hyphen disappeared.

Another result said that close friends skip the Mary and routinely call her Chapin.  A great artist, regardless.

Jeff,

Thanks for the clarity. I had taken a brief look at her Wikipedia page which makes no use of hyphens whatsoever, but refers to her as Carpenter. I always assumed Chapin Carpenter was a surname.

George Harrison. Brainwashed. On CD from 2002. George's swansong and a fittingly lovely album.
