One of my favourites from her, rediscovered and released 2013.
"If you prefer early, guitar-picking bluesy Bonnie Raitt to the later, more commercial, slickly produced material, you will be in heaven listening to this. It really is like sitting in a small, intimate venue with The Lady chatting to you between tracks and playing guitar, piano and singing as only she can."

The Be Good Tanyas "Blue Horse"
Ma Vie Dans La Tienne by Lara Fabian , arrived today so am listening for the first time. I have just about everything by this lady and she never disappoints me.

What do you think of it? I played it once at the weekend and found it hard to get into. It had a rave review in The Guardian. It's often the case that records that need a little perseverance are he most rewarding in the longer term.
Like you found it hard to get into but will need to listen to it again when I get the chance.
Similarly - I was drawn to this at the weekend by the Guardian review and HH's original post. I'm not familiar with his solo work but Ive been dipping into this & "Hendra" over the past few days. Like you I suspect they could well be "growers". Time will tell.
I like it lots, however I also liked his previous one, 'Hendra', which has been one of my go to's over the last year or so. I defo recommend giving that one a go.
I know she's tres now, but I do quite like this

Includes the brilliant Vigil which is wonderful live and still a regular part of his show. As different from Marillion as you can get. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
I could not agree more. Great choice.

This really is very good. Bernard Butler's guitar playing is lovely.
