2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Pink Floyd. Animals. On original vinyl from 1977. A dusty, fingered-up LP I rescued a few years ago from the 99¢ bin at a local record shop. A thorough cleaning on the RCM and it plays fantastically. My best used vinyl purchase.
Just like Nick exploring it through Tidal...

Pink Floyd. Meddle (1971). On remastered CD from 1992. One of these days I hope to come across a vinyl copy of this.
This is such a good album
Great powerful, open sound - even through my old DM39/B&W601 system. CD.

This is just wonderful. As you might suspect from the cover, it's an album of children's songs, but don't let that put you off.

One of the many bands I have been delighted to discover on Bandcamp, they blend Americana, Appalachia, beats and world music seamlessly into something quite special.
Yep - another good one from these guys . Tidal
1908s reissue of a classic LP. In memoriam for the great guitarist, who died yesterday.

Black Sabbath, The Mob Rules, because it's my favourite Sabbath album and sounds wonderful when played loud! Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

On 45rpm ltd vinyl...
Inspired by a previous post on vinyl .... (original? UK pressing)

My favourite DK album. Luverly.
Elvis Costello and the Attractions a on vinyl...

For me he is the new Miles Davis. I have seen him multiple times live, and look forward to the next life event at North Sea Jazz.
During my drive to the Netherlands I have been listening to a book. This was quite an interesting experience. My collegues have multiple times raved about it. And I have to say it is great and you want to stay in the car (thriller).
Earlier -CD rip

and now cooking dinner - very nice album (probably one of Berts recommendations) - Tidal

De-loused in the Comatorinum by Mars Volta
(2003)

Second play of this new purchase which I managed to get for less than £3. Bargain. Not quite as good as Sand & Water but close.

A CD I bought at Nerina's gig I attended in Portsmouth last week. Gave it a right blast in the car on the night drive home and am now enjoying it's proper capabilities on my full system ![]()
