And now for something completely different, as they say. So soothing.....

Hearing new insights into this fabulous album this evening. I never cease to be impressed at the sheer energy it has and its ability to transmit some of that into the listener. It always to lifts me. The equivalent of aural cocaine perhaps?
Good recommendation, just started to play it on Tidal. I hadn't realised that these were the Evanescence group members although it's very obvious as soon as they start to play. So far so good.

You are absolutely right with your comment. I will add it to my wish list. Thank you. Regards. Erich

John Mellencamp. Freedom's Road. On CD from 2007. I like all of Mellencamp's albums and they are always well-recorded, just unfortunate that his albums from this century have fallen prey to loudness mastering. It really takes away the brilliance found in his earlier recordings.

Steve Winwood - Roll with it
And a second espresso on a day off.

In case anyone was too pressed for time or opportunity to play this clip, please come back to it at some point.
Jeff recommended Jerry Joseph to me many years ago and he's just great, but the solo he unwinds from about 8:50 is getting on for the best I've ever heard. Utterly awesome, emotional playing.

Excellent post, Gary. Enjoyed the video. Hadn't heard of Jerry Joseph before but I'm sure going to explore his work now.

Following GraemeH's lead earlier this afternoon. Yonks since I played this and I'd forgotten how good it is and the signature 'bounce' of Yes's music.
