What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Roland Hanna & George Mraz: 24 Preludes.

On vinyl.
Ended my listening pleasures last evening with this...

John Mellencamp. Cuttin' Heads. On HDCD from 2001. American folk, country, rock, rap, and some strong social statements all artistically fused into a brilliant album. Trisha Yearwood, India Arie and Chuck D contribute powerful vocals.

John Mellencamp. Mr. Happy Go Lucky. On CD from 1996. The album starts with familiar Johnny Cougar pop/rock and moves into more experimental tracks heavy on bass, rhythm and funk. While an enjoyable listen, not one of his strong albums.

One of those really good albums that slips by without anyone noticing.

Great album finally seeing the light of day next month
During my workout, I like the album...

Wow. As an admirer of cover art I couldn't let this pass without commenting. I know nothing of Ms. Moorer but what an absolutely lovely album cover. The subject's photo and surrounding embellishments tied together into a beautiful, demure presentation, yet still a stunning attention getter. Well done.
Very reminiscent of Virginia O'Keefe and her art.

In need of listening to this excellent, goth, rock and melodic nu-metal fronted by the wonderful voice of of Amy Lee.

Hibou "Hibou"
Unbelievable "blasting" song... Tho whole LP is good.

Fancied some well crafted "easy " rock and very good it sounds too.
