I heard this song first in the movie "Midnight's Children" which is about the India Partition; it was performed live for the leader of Pakistan in the movie.  Great song, can be found on Spotify.

Mujhse Pehli Si Mohabbat - Talat Hashmi

Here is a good version of it on YouTube, from your very own BBC.  The video is out of sync, but the song is good...in fact I believe its the same exact recording played in the movie.

John Cougar Mellencamp. Uh-Huh (1983). On remastered CD from 2005. I've been on a Mellencamp bender lately. This one is great for all-out electric rock.

Listening to the pieces I missed yesterday due to the traffic jam (missed in his concert for those who didn't read my other post).

John Mellencamp. Mr. Happy Go Lucky. On CD from 1996. The album starts with familiar Johnny Cougar pop/rock and moves into more experimental tracks heavy on bass, rhythm and funk. While an enjoyable listen, not one of his strong albums.

Love the start of the album with "Overture > Jerry" .  Gets the foot tappin' right from the start. Originally recommend to me on this thread by J.N. several years back.

Wow. As an admirer of cover art I couldn't let this pass without commenting. I know nothing of Ms. Moorer but what an absolutely lovely album cover. The subject's photo and surrounding embellishments tied together into a beautiful, demure presentation, yet still a stunning attention getter. Well done.

Sister  of Shelby Lynne, another terrific artist.

Sara Bareilles 'She use to be mine' is a lovely track...

Having just plugged this album it prompted me to want to play it.

Posted on: 27 April 2016 by David

Why, because I have not listened to it for quite some time.

I'll see how I get on with 'Fallen' first, which did receive hundreds of favourable reviews on the river website too. I might just have to buy the Natalie Merchant album identified by Nigel 66 too.

Rush, Moving Pictures, because I know it really well, and it's brilliant, and I'm testing new headphones.  Last time I heard this through headphones I was probably 18!   2015 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

For me it is an ok album and nothing really special.

I bought the original Joker album on it's day of release in Germany and played it in my flat non stop for days.

Still prefer the Giants Stadium live set, the 76 set from New York from the King Biscuit dbl set but think that one was deleted a couple of years back.
