It's a wonderful album, my fave by Lizzy.  Had the good fortune to see them in the very early 80s and this album always brings it back.

Last one before bed, and some early prog, Rush, Hemispheres, from their early on the edge days, wonderful, complex music and something they struggled to play live sadly.  24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Mozart Piano Concerto No.22: Ax/Mata

It's been a while since I listen to Mozart. Always good for one's soul.

1987

1985

1982

Each on original vinyl. Each a great album. These past few days I've been amidst a serious musical dalliance with Mellencamp. This trilogy takes me back to my early 20's and the profound decisions I made at that time that ultimately determined where I'm at today. Hearing familiar music from the past can conger up strong emotional images of people, times and places. No regrets.

John Mellencamp. Plain Spoken. On vinyl from 2014. Musically and artistically a triumphant album. Warm and mellow with tubey electric guitar tones throughout. T-Bone Burnett's influence is evident. Just wish it wasn't so heavily compressed.

It's a Thin Lizzy afternoon, starting with Jailbreak and working through the whole set.  Why, because if your fingers and feet don't tap to Thin Lizzy you are probably dead, and it's Friday!  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

For Forumites of a particular age, this will be hugely evocative of summer holidays and/or going to the Saturday morning pictures. Superb music on CD:

Wow I never thought I would see that being played here or indeed anywhere again! BBC 1964-5 originally and sadly I do remember it!

Better than bl**dy Heidi and slightly less incomprehensible than The Flashing Blade...

How about this..?

BeyoncĂ©, Lemonade.  Thought I'd give it a try on Tidal, two songs in and it's surprisingly good, catchy grown up music and good sq that gives your base speakers a workout.  I like it.  Tidal via Audirvana/Hugo
