It's better than good, its brilliant, sounds a lot like Nerina Pallot in places. Well worth an open minded listen

This 2013 extended version re-ordered the tracks back to as they were on the original vinyl and added four bonus tracks. It was to be the last studio album that Peter Green was to make with "his" band.

Matthew Ryan "In The Dusk Of Everything"
Stereophonics, Keep the Village alive. A bit of a return to form this, some really emotional songs on it and very enjoyable. Tidal via Audirvana/Hugo
Quite interesting a string quartet with a jazz trio....

Because it's become a bit of a Friday evening ritual

And this one all the way through - rediscovered the other day - really good.

Bit of a smorgasbord over dinner.

From the pianist who is probably better known as the musical partner of Emmanuelle Bertrand, comes a new solo recital of Chopin's mature polonaises. Amoyel doesn't downplay the martial element in these works or the swagger, but focuses on the fantasie element, with a sensitive, natural touch that gives much more due to the sections that bridge the recurring theme than usual. Hard to describe in words - recommended! La Dolce Volta's capture of the Steinway D is as usual - some of the best in the business.
Cheers,

Atrocious cover ( is this just a Tidal anomaly or was it that bad?) But what an LP. Just discovered Cocker tonight!

What's next, Kevin, The Flashing Blade ? The Aeronauts ?!

Ah! The Aeronauts. Great theme song. Written and sung by Rick "Fingerbobs" Jones IIRC.

(2010) 2 CD
Have had the single CD version of this since it was released. It was hard to pass this up for $10 at Barnes & Noble. CD 1.
