2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

Santana III - great album, and half of a musical trivia question answer;
Which 2 albums represent the longest stretch between #1 charting albums by a single artist? Santana III (1971) and Supernatural (1999)

Nick,
Glad to see you're getting inspired with Mellencamp. "Plain Spoken" is a good one, "No Better Than This" a novel departure, maybe akin to Springsteen's "Nebraska". Hope you continue your reverse chronological exploration. Otherwise, the stronger Mellencamp albums I'd point you to are "John Mellencamp" (1998), "Human Wheels" (1993), and his three successive albums "The Lonesome Jubilee" (1987), "Scarecrow" (1985), and "Uh-Huh" (1983). Cheers!
'American Fool' in his John Cougar guise is a classic too.

Bruce Springsteen. Magic. On CD from 2007. Continuing with my Springsteen-fest. Another heavy production album and despite Bruce's weary look on the cover shot, it's bounding with energy. The E Street Band sound is solid while the violin, cello, and mandolin accompaniments are welcomed.

Powerful spacey electronica in Berlin School style.

Zero 7 - "The Garden"
Good album Jeff, my favourite one of theirs.

When I fancy listening to The Beatles my go-to albums are either Abbey Road or Sgt Pepper, so I thought I'd try something different this time.
Early US ABC pressing. The sheer amount of detail a clean with the Audiodesk reveals is amazing. Hearing things from this record I've never heard before...

One Beatles album lead to another...
Ages since I've played this.
Classic Records 200g reisue. "Ramble On" = sheer bliss ![]()

My weekly listen to Round the Horne.
Bog standard pressing from the 1980s, sounding splendid:

Coldplay - Ghoststories

Great choice, Kev. Pressing may be big standard but the music is certainly not. ![]()
Because it's an absolute bloody masterpiece and The Dame's best album since 1977:

Hot Chip - "One Life Stand"
Neil cowley Trio - Displaced..
Last one for today before heading off to do some work. This had always sounded stunning, but after an ultrasonic cleaning, welll... I didn't think there was more detail to be had from this recording, but I was wrong...

9Bach - Anian

Kasey Chambers - "Little Bird"
Marry Waterson and David A. Jaycock - Two Wolves

Mindy Smith - "Stupid Love"
