They say that in Wagner, a soprano has to cut through the orchestra; in Strauss, a soprano floats above the orchestra. Well, Stemme cuts through in any case, with her radiant dramatic soprano.

Via Tidal. Now I must decide whether to buy the download now or wait til the CD comes out.

You can carry on listening to it on Tidal in the meantime(if your subscription is HF premium)  it's CD quality, isn't it?  The CD comes out on the 17/06. Not long to go.

Same here: new Radiohead on Tidal. It's rather good. Imerssive on headphones.

Bruce Springsteen. Greetings From Asbury Park. On an early vinyl pressing from 1973. Onward with my Springsteen journey. Far from a blockbuster debut album, yet still a good harbinger of where Springsteen's music was headed, especially with tracks like "Growin' Up" and "Spirit In The Night". Probably the most familiar track is "Blinded By The Light" made popular by Manfred Mann's Earth Band's cover in 1977.

Bruce Springsteen. Born In The U.S.A. On original vinyl from 1984. Great SQ on my pressing; from the days that vinyl was at its best yet about to be supplanted by the silver disc. A brilliant album no doubt, but for me trends to the more commercial/poppy side of Bruce's offerings.
