What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Got this on vinyl (CD comes with it too)

A Very pure listening experience with a remarkably quiet background considering it's just voice and acoustic guitar for the most part. And, most importantly, a jolly good set of choons too. A*+.

Emitt Rhodes - "Rainbow Ends"

Couldn't find this one to try on Tidal but a previous album is - very nice indeed.

Download and small samples you can get at highresaudio.com, or the cd with Amazon. If you have been into Luke Howard you will most probably also like this.

Thanks Bert - I'll take a look. I am certainly enjoying "Seascapes".

+1 : Sounding pretty damn good. Cocooned listening via headphones.
Goo Goo Dolls, Greatest Hits, bloody hell this Tidal is good, can barely tell the difference from local files and via headphones on the Hugo it's astounding. Tidal via Audirvana/Hugo

+2. Just had my first listen, and looking forward to another spin tomorrow!

On vinyl...

Followed by this brilliant album...

On vinyl...

Todays listening.
A long-time Gary Louris fan, am enjoying the new Jayhawks album via Tidal.

Bruce Springsteen: The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle. On original vinyl from 1973. His second album. Good early stuff from Bruce.

Bruce Springsteen. American Beauty. A Record Store Day release on vinyl from 2014. Four songs leftover from the "High Hopes" recording sessions. Having just played Springsteen's first two LPs from 1973, the heavily compressed SQ on this is a bit of a shock
.

Bruce Springsteen. High Hopes. On 2 LPs from 2014. Seems like the natural follow-up to American Beauty. Powerful music.
