2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Radiohead, Moon Shaped Pool, strange, unusual and beautiful. Full of emotion and mood and subtle details that will probably make repeated listens necessary and rewarding. Very enjoyable album - sounds excellent too via Tidal. Tidal via Audirvana/Hugo

Some late night blues from one of the masters..............highly recommended.
Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Call It What It Is. Getting my money's worth from Tidal tonight discovering new music, not an artist I've listened to before but I'm enjoying this first listen so far. Tidal via Audirvana/Hugo

Superb Album
On CD:-

Bruce Springsteen. The River. The original 2 LP pressing from 1980. I've seen the documentary for the recently released "The Ties That Bind: The River Collection" but have yet to sample any music from it.

On vinyl.

Ewe, I know you get a lot of unreleased material but give us a clue on this one. Is it a new pressing of the Beatles white album and you're not supposed to talk about?
Tony this one has been out for years and is available as a double with In Performance tagged on to it which was mastered by Steve Hoffman but I have major reservations about
the sound on one of the tracks on that issue. The piano on that particular track is out of tune and has speed playback issues unless my hearing is going or I have a bad copy
The best version of Live to get is the original one without In Performance tagged on which can be had for about £5 and the best version of In Performance to get is the original as well.
If you haven't heard it then you owe to yourself to do so stunning album.
Re The Beatles album nope it is just the current cover for the cd which I took from Amazon. Nothing exciting there.

ewe,
I think the issue is that Tony, like me cannot see the image. It appears as a blank box. Is it the band "Live"?

Was wondering why Tony had used an emocion at the end. Homer Simpson moment I think. Nope the image of The Beatles is just one of the front cover of The White album I pulled off Amazon

The Silks in prep for their new album soon to be released.

Listening to a wonderful version of the old Link Wray number Falling Rain off his up and coming album due out in a couple of days.
He is a prolific West Coast recording artist who I think has made over 35 albums in the last 19- 20 years possibly even more mainly through small local labels but this album may be his best yet.
He is touring the UK on the back of this album

Bruce Springsteen. We Shall Overcome. The Seeger Sessions. On flippable CD/DVD from 2006. Bruce singing Americana and having a good ol' hoedown. Fun music with Springsteen's patented emotional delivery.

The sun is splitting the sky here this morning, this well played well recorded high energy indie/prog rock fits the bill.
