Listening to a wonderful version of the old Link Wray number Falling Rain off his up and coming album due out in a couple of days.
He is a prolific West Coast recording artist who I think has made over 35 albums in the last 19- 20 years possibly even more mainly through small local labels but this album may be his best yet.
He is touring the UK on the back of this album
Ewen, Karl Blau is a long time associate with Laura Veirs and her partner/producer Tucker Martine. He appears prominently on the Saltbreakers disc ( I saw them live on that tour ) and at least in spot appearances on most of her other discs. He is frequently in her touring bands. I believe he is still based out of the Olympia/Seattle area and also is closely associated with Calvin Johnson and his realm at K Records. I got to know Calvin's brother a bit back in the Jerry Joseph days. Small world. Jeff A
