2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
The Noise Made By People, by Broadcast. One of the most remarkable records of the past 20 years, I think. On vinyl:

Paul Banks - Banks (2012)
This feels a little like summer music ..

Now that takes me back. Thanks for reminding me of the year it was released, makes me feel....well let's be kind and say.....mature (in age, not state of mind you understand).![]()

1971 - Original vinyl...

Fine acoustic album from the late great Muddy Waters, with a young Buddy Guy on second guitar and Willie Dixon on bass.

That's a great reminder to put this in the playlist, I haven't listened to it in too many years. Thanks!

My favourite of his too.

RUSH - Vapour Trails :-

Specifically 'Tonight is what it means to be young'.
Epically Epic. With a capital E.

Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara, from Robert Plant's band, rip it up in African / trance.
Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I keep coming back to this one, particularly the track "Deep Sahara". ![]()
