Good this.

2016 on Spitify - Stone Roses's( apologies to the apostrophe police if that is incorrect) new single from the upcoming album. 21 years on, more of the same. Should be enough to please hard core fans.

It's awful Tony. The worst thing they have ever done. The lyrics are so dire they could be from Bernard Sumner's dustbin and the music sounds like the least talented members of Cast and Ocean colour Scene jamming with northside and a  Kasabian tribute band.

My old mate John, a Scouse Roses fanatic who went to Spike Island and all that, is having trauma counselling right now.

Are you serious or joking? As hardcore fan I it's enough for me to have more of the same.  Can't be that bad or can it.

CSNY archival studio recordings of trax incl some unreleased from the first CSN and Deja Vu period. Currently listening to the fantastic alternate version of The Lee Shore.

Sorry, Osprey, but I do agree with Kev. I am a great fan of their first album and to a less extent to The Second Coming. The song is repetitive to extremes and Ian's lyrics are a far cry from his best efforts.

Let's hope there are better songs when the new album is released. I  am not raising my expectations though so I won't be even more disappointed.

Playing CD2 of 2 Insignificance, released as a Special Edition in 2003 it has a lot of good demo material on it that wasn't used on the original album Signify, in many ways I prefer it the original. Anyone who enjoyed Signify would I'm sure enjoy Insignificance, its in the Deezer Elite library so it's likely to be available on Tidal and Qobuz too.

Found after another trawl through the vinyl and another original to boot.

You can't beat a bit of desert blues after an afternoon's gardening. This is a really good album.

Started the evening with some good old Freddie Hubbard..

The switched to this one. On Todal. Have heard this before and there is something about it which attracts - but haven't yet bought it. One of the exciting things is already the combination of a string quartet with a jazz trio - quite unusual...

And just into this one before watching this weeks DCI Banks. This is a nice lyrical solo piano album from Bandcamp, a pleasure to listen ....While not music you need to be fully concentrated on. When you are it shows great beauty inside...

Bert, have you heard this? It's a truly wonderful album.

Can't believe this recording was made over 30 years ago... I remember this was made only 10 years ago like it was yesterday!

Great, timeless, recording.
