Delightful slow-tempo music and the reproduction quality on the CD is superb. The Blower's Daughter is a peach of a song.

I am really enjoying this album too. Imo her best for a while.

This group's no-nonsense, perfectly executed but never clinical approach to Beethoven first six quartets only gets stronger on repeated listening. For a quick sampling of the Jerusalem's style, recommend the adagio of the first quartet (track 6 of disc 1), all the way to the end. Sublime music!

Cheers

Streaming from Naim rip............via SL full loom, again, LOUDLY...........woohoo!

A favourite AC/CD song of mine and, yes, it has to be loud!

This is what Super Lumina was made for.

The Police, Greatest Hits, because I'm having a rare headphone session to test out my headphones and it is quite remarkable how much there is in this album that I've not heard before.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Matthew Ryan  -  "May Day"  -  a great songwriter, darkish lyrical side, saw him open for Turin Brakes with 25 other people, it was, ah, intimate.

Deb Talan  -  "A Bird Flies Out"  -  Some of you may know Deb's band The Weepies.  Deb is starting a Kickstarter campaign for a new solo release, links at The Weepies website.  The cover and YouTube are from a solo recording of hers pre-The Weepies.  Talented lady, breast cancer survivor, mother of three. Have followed Deb since the 90's, saw she and Steve together in an embryonic version just before The Weepies.

Warren Zevon. Excitable Boy. On original vinyl from 1978. Starting my journey through my WZ holdings with this classic. My favorite Zevon album, I remember playing this for days on end when I first got it.

Levantine tales: Dusan Bogdanovic & Miroslav Tadic (guitars)

Melodies from the Balkan. The MA Recordings sound is the usual pristine.

Warren Zevon. Bad Luck Streak In Dancing School. On original vinyl from 1980. While not as instantly likable as the Excitable Boy album, this shows an emphasis on song development and musical arrangement (for a rock album) without a loss of Zevon's patented lyrical sardony and dark side.

Dave,

Just sampled, love the alternate takes, and definitely one I want to add to my collection. Thanks for the suggestion.
