What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Streaming | WAV | 24/44.1 | Download from Naim

(2011)
One of my first downloads from Naim about five years ago, nicely recorded with lovely sound quality.
"Distilled -dreamy, trippy, downtempo instrumentals...and lush semi-orchestral settings" -- Uncut

Somewhere between Faith, Kiss Me and Disintegration. ( like eating cheese on toast)

Last choice is like eating cheesy pants compared to this though.
Streaming | WAV | CD rip

(1972)
In the mood for some old ELP.

David Bowie - "Blackstar"

Laura Veirs - Warp & Weft (2013)

"Thunderstruck" from the above.
Streaming from Naim rip............via SL full loom, again, LOUDLY...........woohoo!
A favourite AC/CD song of mine and, yes, it has to be loud!
Not an album I have listened to, just repairing that error.

Ra Ra Riot - "Need Your Light" - continuing with listening to 2016 releases today.

1968 - The Silver Apples - Original vinyl...
No one I certainly have listened to:-
Richard Thompson - Still.
Dusty, lost in music!!

On CD:-

Pete Yorn - "Arranging Time"

Streaming from Naim rip..............some good old fashioned blues rock from George.

1968 - Original vinyl...

Hope you enjoy it, BigH. Thunderstruck etc is one of the reasons that I occasionally enjoy watching that nonsense of a film Battleship. ![]()

Chilling out to one of Joni's best albums

Brian Fallon - "Painkillers"

More blues rock, from the hardest working band in the world..........."always on the road".
Streaming CD 1, from Naim rip.

Tidal - one I return to quite regularly.

Another relaxing album to follow Joni. I particularly like Ray L's early albums.

And now, for something completely different..........."The Race".........at full blast! ![]()
