2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Some home grown soul........streaming from Naim rip.

Katatonia - Sanctitude
Slash, Slash, brilliant album with lots of great guest singers rather than that whiny sod Kennedy who the later albums feature and some real rocking songs. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

A while since I've played this classic Tull album. For many years I was rather frustrated in not being able to find a CD version with tolerable reproduction quality. Even the 25th Anniversary version "remastered at 20 Bit using the Prism Sound Noise Shaping System" was disappointingly flat and lifeless. Fortunately this 40th anniversary version remastered by Steven Wilson has redeemed things.

"Time"............Pink Floyd...........but not as we know it............totally bonkers! ![]()
Naim rip.

Back to basics.

So at the end of the day, again but now in high res downloaded...

What do you think of it? Like you, I really like Kind of Cool.
Only had time to play 3 or 4 tracks H , but it sounded pretty good. I'll certainly revisit it.

More from the King of bar room boogie.
Naim rip.

And, last, but far from least, Joe's tribute to Muddy and the Wolf.

I hope this link works. I think you gents can appreciate the talent even if it's not really your type of music.

Eric Clapton - "I Still Do"
Frank Zappa, Apostrophe, my fave Zappa album and a fair bit more accessible than some of his other albums. Full of humour, irreverence and genius. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Fascinating performance by the Paniagua family. Highly recommended to anyone who is into world music.
It just gets better and better.

Stevie Ray Vaughan. Couldn't Stand The Weather. On CD from 1984. Fantastic album, so good I had to listen three times in a row. There's some downright nasty blues on here that leave me feeling guilty for things I never did.

Your last sentence made me laugh out loud Randy, nearly spurted a mouthful of coffee all over my keyboard! It's a good album, always liked the way he got stuck into the guitar, another sad loss to the music world.
