2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.

This sounds amazing after a good going over in the RCM, and the guitar playing is lovely, but I have to say it's a somewhat unsatisfactory addition to the catalogue (although a massive improvement on the godawful Momentary Lapse, which sounds even worse now than it did 25 years ago):

Very nice light blues from 1998....CD

Love this album.........the track "Am I Wrong" has long been a piece of music I use as a test piece for any trial upgrades in the system.

Good ole mono vinyl, sounding remarkably fresh for a 53-year old recording...

Continuing the gentle blues mood.

I know I've posted this before, but folks seemed to like it, so here 'tis again, from the master of understated blues guitar.

Naim rip.

Another first run of a new release on Tidal.  Not a Clapton aficionado (gosh that's a difficult word to spell) -  but very pleasant listening this morning.

I listened to 3 songs Tidal had yesterday and looking forward to hearing it all today.

It's quite good isn't it?    But it has the feel of a sign-off.

Regards,

Lindsay

Also, try searching on Tidal for "Sphere" (the band name and Monk's middle name).

Nick, I should clarify here, if you do search, there are multiple bands with the name Sphere.  The one you are looking for has at least one digital release.  The others may only be on vinyl.

Available digitally - titled Sphere.  and also these two

This is their discography from Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphere_(American_band)

Thanks Jeff - I had a quick look on Tidal earlier but couldn't find anything obvious.  I'll have another go.  Cheers Nick
