I was at Fairfield Halls for the tracks recorded there in 1970 a great night if I remember correctly one of my favourite bands at that time.

Must have been a great gig. I saw them twice first time they were excellent and the second time one of the worst gigs I ever saw.

I will join in this love fest for Foy- his latest.

I played the Hope album a lot when it came out and tried to push it a little on here with not much luck at the time.

Next up and possibly the last album for tonight.

Just listening to this myself for the first time. Very different to Hope but equally as impressive. Foy Vance is indeed a talented chap.

Just the second side for now...

I particularly like the song Wonderful Tonight on the second disc. The emotion put into it really shines through.

The richness of this album strikes me every time I listen to it. And tonight it sounds particularly fantabulous!!

I never cease to be impressed at the breadth of your music collection, ewemon.

Sorry to hear about the second gig experience, unfortunately Fairfield was the only time I got to see them before they folded prematurely.

If you like Buddy Guy, you should enjoy Chicago blues from this chap.

Their first (official) live album, excluding Electronic Meditation which was a essentially a studio session recorded live.

"While the first set is (for Tangerine Dream) relatively heavy on electric guitar and percussion, the second set is particularly intriguing. Starting with their most straight-forward music yet, a beautiful solo piano piece, it quickly launches into the sequencer section, and then never lets up." Bullfinchart Discogs

Stevee - good heavens - I think this was the first album I ever bought as a callow youth (I don't count Abbey Road - which I "stole" from my older sister).  It's long gone now but I recognised the cover and have been giving it run on Tidal.  Probably not my cup of tea now - but good memories !

The key thing is to have a few beers while listening to it. I was playing it on the Qb while cooking, and it was perfect. It's certainly not an easy listen.

Pleasing dronescapes as ever from Cousin Silas, relaxing interesting and involving. He's eschewed the longform he usually adopts and broken this up into six (micro dronescapes) of twelve minute pieces, delightful ambient music.

I thought I'd take a punt on this, and it's very good indeed. It was my first download from Bandcamp, and it was a bit tricky to decide how much to pay.

I'm pleased you're enjoying it. With just a few exceptions most of Cousin Silas' music is virtually free to download if you choose to do that. What a lot of people tend to do is buy at the minimum price and if/when they decide that they like an album they then buy it again at a more generous level or an amount they feel appropriate, effectively topping up the first payment.

Have a listen to something of his in longform and see what you think,  Owlers Wood is a pretty good starting place:
