2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Given to me as a Birthday Present today ...I think you have to be in the right mood.

On vinyl...
Followed by...

On original vinyl...

Andy Shauf - "The Bearer Of Bad News"

Ani DiFranco - Living in clip
Head First, the 'Frapp's most underrated album - some of the hardcore don't like it, seeing it as a weaker retread of Supernature, but it's got some wonderful stuff on it, especially on the more outré second side. The 2010 tour to accompany/promote it was one of their best:

CD -Streaming - WAV...

Boxer Rebellion - "Promises"

CD(2003) - WAV...

The Innocence Mission - "My Room In The Trees"
Tangerine Dream - Richocet
Wishbone Ash - Argus (expanded )
Lindisfarne - Untapped and Acoustic streaming from hdx. Getting me in the mood for The Alan Hull Songbook - Some Other Time, on vinyl being released and arriving tomorrow. Songs written by the late Lindisfarne great found on aging 1/4 tape in Hulls home studio and then recorded by his son-in-law Dave Hull Denholm and Ian Thompson. All the best for the release guys - after all without good music, this forum has no place for most of us!
Kevin-W posted:On vinyl. This, the third album from Sylvian, has always sounded good, but after a zap in the Audiodesk it sounds amazing!
Awesome
Seems to be a Goldfrapp convention this evening...just browsing the forum whilst listening to Goldfrapp as well. And lo and behold others are doing the same.

Sounded great at the Etihad last night, but bet your not getting as wet as I was listening to it then!
Sheryl Crow, Sheryl Crow, an old favourite that I haven't listened to for a long time which I'm glad I've corrected because it sounds great. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Cat Stevens - Teaser and firecat

Enjoying some of Mary Black's work this evening, including this album. A Stone's Throw From the Soul and Free As A Stone are particularly lovely songs in my view.
