Nikki Lane - All or Nothin'     (2014)

First listen.  I like Lindi Ortega, and she came up as a recommendation.  Not bad.  Have to give it a few listens.

Nikki Lane is good. She stopped by the local record store to play a few tunes a while back.

Mr. Spurrier's #1 fan,

This week's gave me some extra listening time on this album.  I bet she was cool to see live.  Good album.

Check out Lydia Loveless too if you like Nikki.

Two of their very famous and best early concerts. Listening to the first one (disc 1 of 4 in the box set) from Reims Cathedral.

Stephen Stills. Eponymous debut from 1970 on original Atlantic vinyl. Inspired by ewe's posting above of Stills Live. Goodness, what an assemblage of talented performers contributing to a single album!!!

His first two albums were very notable and still get a lot of play around these parts.

Triple vinyl compilation of early hip-hop from the late 1970s. If anything, I guess it demonstrates how far the form has fallen since those heady days...

Los Lobos doing traditional Mexican music.............in Spanish, and largely acoustic.

Abandoning mainstream and doing what comes naturally.

Brilliant!

"The Truth".............acoustic Prince.

I posted this a few days back, but I would urge any fans of His Purpleness to give it a listen........very different, but great.......really shows what a fine guitarist the man was.

On vinyl. Brilliant in-concert recording of a soul titan. One of the best live albums ever made.
