2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

1998 - CD - WAV

The superb Otis Taylor. Trance blues at it's finest. Don't be put off by the repeat of certain trax the arrangements are different.

Mention of the arab strap in Tony's post prompted me to get this one out.

(2011, remastered) CD
Pink Floyd, soundtrack for the film More. First listen. Bought a bunch of PF on the cheap at B&N a few months ago. Obscured By Clouds is one of my favorites, so I added this and others. For context, my earliest PF album before this was Meddle.
Taking a lead from Simon-In-Suffolk, next up is Atom Heart Mother.

I bought this only a month or so ago too, I have enjoyed it.

The very first CD I bought when CD players arrived on the scene. Not the best recording but it throws up nostalgic memories of a crap Pioneer 'Legato Link (wtf?)' CD player, NAD 3020 & little Mission speakers.
'Thank you & goodnight'

Superb 60's Italian Lounge film music - i have the whole series - but this one is my fave... very evocative of a bygone era... really swings on a Naim system...

Just a few tracks into this one and enjoying it tremendously, thanks Ewen and other advocates for promoting this and his other work here.

I seem to be gaining new insights into this album this evening and I've played countless times.
Enjoying a first run of this new one...

+1 Like this a lot - played it all the way through on Tidal (which is high praise for someone with my short attention span...). Nice blend of "blues" guitar, violin, trumpet etc - doesn't sound like it should work on paper - but it certainly does. Good recommendation Ewemon.

Suzanne Vega - "Close-up Volume 2, People and Places"

Probably a couple of tracks behind you with this one......................Excellent shout, Ewemon.
Tidal..........ain't it great! ![]()

Probably my favorite acoustic blues album. Released in 1981, these two old friends seem to have just sat down to have some fun. Buddy Guy on 12 string accompanied by Junior's guitar playing and vocals. Junior throws in some wonderful harmonica playing .. excellent production.
