2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Airbag, The Greatest Show On Earth.

As I am really looking forward to this landing on my doorstep.
Airbag, Disconnected.

Due out 10/06
Borders Nick posted:First run of this on Tidal - live recording from 1989.
I have had this for years and for those who like Lucinda it is well worth picking up. I am also very surprised that the record companies that operate in the gray market area of the music biz haven't released many of her shows on cd as some are out there in amazing quality

Official recording.
Rush, Permanent Waves, because I am testing Damien's latest update to Audirvana and I know this album very well indeed. 24 bit Flac via Audirana/Hugo
i have had this vinyl for a long time -- i feel somewhat lucky as i have seen its become ridiculously expensive now -- over £130 on Amazon!
still sounds OK even with surface blemishes -- one of these days i will clean it... too lazy right now!

enjoy...

This totally bypassed me at the time, and it's really good in a understated way.

Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons - "Badlandia" (2010) - with Jenny Conlee (The Decemberists) on keyboards, below is their cover of Gillian Welch's "Time (The Revelator)"

After listening to Haim's link (thanks!), I was trolling YouTube and discovered this. Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette, often referred to as The Standards Trio. Arguably the preeminent piano trio of the past 35 years since Bill Evans left us. Hoping some might find this complete concert of interest. Jeff A

The album that was to be their breakthrough, recommended by the late great John Peel as the import album of the year.

Tangerine Dream have a vast catalogue of music especially if one includes the Tangerine Tree project. My first listen to this one which (so far) is very different to their early material.

Pink Floyd. The Wall (1979). On Columbia CD from 1997 (the one with the black lettering on the cover). Prompted by Yetizone's topic on the album.

Totally agree. In general enjoy Harrison's albums more today than I did upon their release. They stand the test of time very well.
Not so good as I hoped...

In the mood for some 'Floyd this one is the 1994 remaster.
Another 2016 vinyl remaster. Different from older pressings but still impressive. Am hearing this I'd not heard before.

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother, Obscured by Clouds, not surprised they don't get played much.
Barclay James Harvest - Octoberon, I still like this (and most of BJH).

Rubbing hearts with the Floyds .
