After spending all of this wet afternoon sorting through and fixing the muddled metadata of a 15 CD Frank Sinatra Box set, this ramped up modern Pendragon is making a pleasant change.

Band Of Horses - "Why Are You OK" (2016)

1978 - No 5hit, Sherlock. It's so bad, it's actually brilliant.

The Temper Trap - "Thick As Thieves" (2016)

First listen to this and I'm liking it a lot. They seem to have gone back twenty years to the style of their early albums and its worked really well for me.

1970 - Original vinyl...
I was listening to Stan Getz the other day and this in an interesting take on the sub-genre.
Tidal flac upsampled to DSD 128 via Roon and HQPLAYER.

Is this a new Garbage album, Steve? If so, I've missed its release!

A couple of good trax but for me a poor attempt at heartland rock ala Mellencamp.
The Eagles, their debut album from 1972 which contains one or two classic songs but is enjoyable through-out. Original vinyl

Enjoying a first listen to this - as you say, very relaxing "late" night (for me anyway) listening. Nice recommendation Haim.

I really enjoyed it Mike, I'm sure that you will too, particularly if you prefer their original albums Garbage and V.2; its on Tidal, I can't remember if you have that? Enjoy!
Steve

This is just stunning. A masterpiece in my view.
