One of the better ones of the last years...
Vinyl 2003 mix from the Five Years box set. For me, his best LP by far.
And now this, on vinyl.
Michael Schenker - Spirit Of A Mission.
Some excellent songs and a surprising last track
Kari Rueslatten "The Collection"
Reminds me of my first visit to New York in 1980, walking down the street listening a newly acquired walkman. The album, sound and sights were a complete revelation at the time. Still gives me goose bumps thinking about it.

Nic
Wonderful album from end to end. I wonder where it will rank among Bowie's best? Nearer the top I should think...

Clifford Brown – trumpet
Jimmy Heath – tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone
John Lewis – piano
Percy Heath – bass
Kenny Clarke – drums

Ormandy/Philadelphia Orchestra: Sibelius Symphony 4 & 5 1954 recording
Sibelius is definitely a cold weather listening for me.
Coming off from a depressing and dark 4th symphony, 5th shines even brighter. I see why this symphony is popular as 2nd.
Ormandy's direction is grand but still able to keep a personal and intimate feelings though wonderful close mic'd bowing of strings. As composer wanted, this is down to earth, more human and vivid.
