2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Now playing, good old british R 'n B, with, of course, as above, great guitar.

Johnny Marr - "Playland" (2014)
Ohhhh well

1999 - CD - WAV...
Joe Bonamassa - Blues of Desperation
Lucinda Williams - Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
Tori Amos - Under the Pink
Richard Thompson - Rumour and Sigh

Deep Mississippi blues from a UK master.

Mr. Twin Sister - "Mr. Twin Sister" (2014) A personal favorite from 2014.

Queen, Queen II, classic Queen from their early days and full of experimental rock. An old friend followed by Hawkwind Live 79, a group I've seen live many times starting a year or two after this was produced and they never fail to give a great show. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
The Who - Live at Leeds on original vinyl. My first ever live album. Must have been passed around school numerous times and played on some pretty awful kit. With a good clean still enjoyable, and refreshingly atmospheric!

2006 - CD - WAV...

Agree, Dave. The lyrics are also a little disturbing but beautifully sang. New to me and first listen from a bunch of CDs I've been given and just ripped.

Never thought I would see this up on here. Once danced the congo with him and the audience (the small number that was there) across a stage and up and down the aisles at one of his gigs. Long story.

Winding down with a bit of pre bedtime reggae. ![]()

On vinyl. Got to get one of those suits!

Disc one from the Palais des Congres.

PJ Harvey. Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea. On CD from 2000. Another recent discovery I can thank the forum for. Still getting better with each listen.
