2016 - Tidal...
I've been following them since their 2003 debut album Keep On Your Mean Side. They've gone from strength to strength since.
Great album, I'm Tidalising it too..............they're on tour in the UK Sept / Oct and I've got my tickets already.

Hi BN, Although a bit dark, a great album. The latter part of "Empty" will always be special to me as I "looked my demons in the eye" from 2004 - 2010, and continue to still to a certain extent. To paraphrase a literary quote, sometimes I listen to music to know I am not alone. good listening, regards, Jeff A
Jeff - yup it's certainly dark but also quite uplifting and positive at the same time. Giving it yet another run at the mo. (Gentle start to Sunday). I dip into his latest quite often on Tidal but haven't quite got round to purchasing (yet). Cheers N.

For some unknown reason I've only just got around to listening to this one. Always a sucker for ELO I'm enjoying this one straight out of the box.
Giving this a run following Haim's recommendation from yesterday. Sounding good on first listen. Tidal
My 1st attempt with "BandCamp"

Many thanks to Quad 33 for urging the purchase of this CD (still cheap on the river site). Very unusual, varied and most enjoyable, only half way through it as I write but was compelled to thank Quad 33 for this left field recommendation.
* Edit. Just noticed that its available on Tidal for anyone wanting to try free.
1986 Remaster, German Pressing

Transcriptions of Chopin's works for cello and piano (2007).
"With superb English pianist Kathryn Stott, Mørk plays the heck out of the music. With his big but nuanced tone, his poignant but penetrating intonation, his agile but amazing technique, and especially his way of singing more than playing the melodies, Mørk sounds more like a baritone than a cellist." (AllMusic)

Normally I have to step over piles of music to get to my piano. What I am listening to is usually reflected by what books reside on the music desk of the piano and near the top of any pile.
In my house somewhere is a copy of the Schumann / Beethoven Etudes. Cannot find them so I had to order another copy and the world returned to normal yesterday with the repositioning of it at the top.
Today's snapshot of what is on the piano and what I am listening to myself playing.

Today's purchase – on vinyl.
The Throbbers' masterpiece, and one of the best albums of the 70s. Gotta love the Gristle!
This indeed is a good one. I faintly remeber hearing this in early 80's but never owned the record. I recognized the cover when browsing the vinyls at the local shop yesterday and decided to buy – proved to be a good choice.
Osprey, have you heard 1978's DOA: The Third & Final Report of Throbbing Gristle? Almost as good - if you liked 20GFG you'll like this one too...

Nice and loud this afternoon

On CD. A random pick. Haven't heard this in yonks.

I always rather liked this "comeback album" half of which was produced by the Pet Shop Boys, no need to say anything about her lovely inimitable voice...

Just downloaded from Bandcamp - not listened to yet - should be good - he is a great trumpet/flugelhorn player - dark sound

Some good tracks on this one - I bought Cd a few years ago

No, I'm not familiar with this one. Thanks for the tip – I'll try to find it at some point.
