2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Jim Croce. You Don't Mess Around With Jim. An early vinyl pressing from 1972. Folk music with plenty of groove.

Paul McCartney. New. On vinyl from 2013. It's been a while since I gave this a spin.

The Byrds Greatest Hits (1967). On CD from 1999. Wanted to hear how my demo speakers handle jingle-jangle.

Dave Holland - Dream of the Elders [CD]. Wonderful.

Twenty eight short pieces, from the almost unknown Russian Georgy Catoire (1861-1926). A French father explains the inauthentic-sounding surname.

Ed Harcourt - "Time Of Dust" (ep) (2014)

The Weepies - "Sirens" (2015) husband-wife pop harmony duo

Coldplay - "Mylo Xylato" (2011)
On CD:-

Roisin Murphy - Hairless Toys

Jackson Browne - "Time The Conqueror" (2008)

Still their best album to date, good modern take on older style prog rock from this London band.

Bill Frisell - The Willies. Terrific American roots music, played by a master.

Unreleased DCC version mastered by Steve Hoffman

Sara Watkins - "Young In All The Wrong Ways" (2016)

Audiophile version of the 1st album.
